I got the other layout challenge done as well. the lacy border on the top is exactly why I love the new explore. The christening dress and the title floral were cut from an imagine cart. I didn’t know I could play with those on the explore. Just makes me love that machine even more.

I have been working on pre-done albums for so long, I forgot I can do the page for the pictures again. This is for my grand daughters book. Every month cricut.com messageboards have a layout challenge. It worked well because I am going to have pictures of her in both of her Christening gowns and showcase them. The pics will be front and center in this layout.
I finally finished my card challenge cards.
All four contain CTMH stamps and I used liquid glass on all four. I cannot remember which cart I used for each. I have to start writing that down.
The first and they third I used stamps from “coming up roses”. One of my favorites
a cartridge for the cardmaker. I love it. Close to my Heart will be releasing another cricut cartridge as of August 1st. I will be updating you with new products as I hear about them.
Here is the video on the cartridge
I remembered tonight that we will also be celebrating one of my baby brothers birthdays tomorrow. Had to get my thinking cap on because I was so tired. I used ‘Live Simply” for the owl in the tree. the frame is from the “Cindy Lou” cart and I used my explore to write the message.
The inside of the card says youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu do. LOL
With the downfall of Creative Memories, there are a lot of people waiting to see what kind of weekends will remain for those that NEED time and space to work on their albums. I have been searching for a spot since all this occurred.
Most of you are aware that there is a group of us that get together and find places to scrapbook several times a year. I so needed to get away and get some things finished. Well we hit gold a few weeks ago, and want to share what/who impressed us this much.
My intention was to check out many places to see about booking weekends for all those who needed to get away and get some projects worked on. This is not my favorite thing to do. After attending this weekend, it was extremely apparent that this group is extremely organized, and I thought to myself, why try to compete with perfection? I approached the woman in charge, and found out I could team up with her on her weekend events. Well, that really sounded wonderful to me. I will tell you, I could never think of the many things she has come up with. It is extremely organized, gives you a ton of space, and offers a great deal more than I could ever offer you. We had a blast!!!
So, starting in September, I will be attending and working at the events that “The Scrap Cabana” puts on. You can come for the entire weekend or just a partial. I guarantee you will have a great time and get a ton done. Some are in Aurora, and some in St. Charles. You can choose whether you stay the night or drive home. There are a few hotel perks if you stay, but it isn’t necessary.
She fills these fast, so check it out and register as soon as you know you can attend. Get your BFF’s together and come see how much fun you can have. I am thrilled to be working with Michelle, and hope to see a lot of you at her events. I will, however still be doing the Lake Geneva weekend in January with Kathy. So many people look forward to that event that Kathy has offered to continue it for us. If you have any questions, email or call me.

I did the challenge cards from Cricut.com again this week. yay for me for finally getting my schedule back to where it belongs. I then decided to try a couple ways of working and coloring the stamps since I own colored pencils, gelatos, ink, markers, chalks, and watercolors. I thought I would try working with them to see what was most comfortable for me. I do believe this is a personal answer.
What I learned is I like them all because they really do have very different results.
One of my favorite stamps is the ctmh owls set. they are just so adorable.
If you have put any of the stamps on “I’ll get them later” status, remember that August 1st, our book will be changing. I cant wait to see the new offerings.
yay! I got all four cards done for the challenge this week and some will be used as fairy cards. All cricut cuts are from ctmh artiste or art philosophy carts.
card number 1 I used “coming up roses” ctmh stamp
card number 2 I used “owls: ctmh stamp
